12/16: KIT ranked #1 in the 2017 QS Graduate Employability Ranking

2017 QS Graduate Employability Ranking: KIT is #1 in Germany & # 20 worldwide

The results of the current employability ranking from Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) state: The Karlsruhe Institute for Technology (KIT) is #1 in Germany. The focus of the ranking is on the preparation of graduates for the labour market. In regards to the indicator "cooperation with employers" and in relation to engaged alumni KIT performs excellently.

In the field of "cooperation with employers" KIT achieved 96.1 of 100 possible points. In the field of "employment rate of graduates" 74,9 of 100 points were achieved, which was the best result of all participating universities. In the overall ranking on an international scale KIT achieved 76.6 of 100 points and hereby was ranked #20 worldwide. Other German universities within the TOP 50 are the TU Darmstadt (#30), the TU München (#42) and the RWTH Aachen (#44).

The "QS Graduate Employability Ranking" also measures the reputation of the university with employers, the number of very successful alumni, the networking of the university with employers and the attractively of the graduates for employers in industry and economy.

300 universities were considered within the ranking, 200 of them were ranked including 15 German universities. QS also evaluated the feedback of 38.000 employers and the network between 70.000 companies and graduates of the university.
