Self-driving Cars in ADAC Services

Bei der Mitgliederversammlung des ADAC Nordbaden in Karlsruhe referierte Sax, dessen Institut federführend das "Testfeld Autonomes Fahren" (angesiedelt im Großraum Karlsruhe) betreit, über das selbstständige Fahren. Klar ist, dass der ADAC seine Leistungen, seine Art zu denken und zu arbeiten, überdenken muss.
Viele Unternehmen und Betriebe, so Sax, müssten sich rechtzeitig auf die zu erwartenden Veränderungen einstellen - das gelte im gleichen Maße für die Autoindustrie wie für die Berufsausbildung in vielen Bereichen.

The development of autonomous driving is unstoppable. Eric Sax, the head of the Institute for Information Processing Technology, will only say so much about when cars will drive fully autonomous: "It will take a long time."

At the general meeting of ADAC Nordbaden in Karlsruhe, Sax, whose institute is in charge of the "Autonomous Driving Test Field" (located in Karlsruhe) spoke about self-driving cars. It is clear that the ADAC must reconsider its services, its way of thinking and working.
Many companies, according to Sax, would have to adjust to the expected changes in time - this applies to the automobile industry and to vocational training in many areas.
