The HECTOR School of Engineering and Management is pleased to announce the recipients of this year's Teaching Awards.
Teaching Award winners 2022HECTOR School, KIT

On June 2, 2022, the certificates were handed over to the winners of the Teaching Award during the graduation ceremony of the Intake 2019. The modern location with a large terrace and a fantastic view over the Rhine of the Rheinterrassen Karlsruhe, and the sunny summer evening, contributed to the festive atmosphere. After a warm welcome by Managing Director Dr.-Ing. Judith Elsner and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Kai Furmans, Academic Director of the HECTOR School of Engineering & Management and Director of the Institute for Material Handling and Logistics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), followed the keynote speech, "The importance of technology in turbulent times" by Nikolai Zaepernick, CBO, Managing Director, EOS GmbH.

After that the class of 2019, that had also voted for the Teaching Award winners, was honored. The honoring of the Intake was introduced by the heartwarming words of the graduation speech by Pranjal Ranka, who thanked the people that had supported her along the way. This was followed by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Kai Furmans ceremonially presenting the certificates to the graduates.

After honoring the class of 2019, the focus was on the instructors who had taught the students over the past few years in the latest findings in technology and management. After the lectures, the students were asked to evaluate their lecturers. The teaching award is based on these evaluation results and is awarded for the Engineering Modules of each Master´s program and once for the joint Management Modules.
As the second place in “Management of Product Development” and “Mobility Systems Engineering and Management” was shared by two winners each, a total of 20 lecturers of the almost 150 lecturers at the HECTOR School were awarded. This is a great honor because lecturers at the HECTOR School come from the renowned KIT as well as from the industry in order to provide the students with the best possible teaching in the latest research findings and their application.

Congratulations to the graduates of the class of 2019 and the Teaching Award winners of 2022!
