Prof. Dr. Orestis Terzidis

Prof. Dr. Orestis Terzidis is Head of the Institute for Entrepreneurship, Technology Management and Innovation (EnTechnon) at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). With a PhD in physics and extensive industry experience at SAP, including roles in software development and research leadership, he bridges academic innovation with real-world business transformation. Since joining KIT in 2011, he has focused on entrepreneurship, digital business models, and technology-driven innovation. He contributes to national and international committees on energy systems, start-up research, and AI-driven business models. His work connects research, industry, and policy to advance innovation ecosystems and entrepreneurial thinking in the digital age.
Peter Bittner

Peter Bittner is Partner at Fleuchaus & Gallo Patent Attorneys and a European Patent Attorney with an LL.M. in Intellectual Property. Prior to joining the firm, he served as IP Portfolio Manager at SAP and gained extensive international experience in intellectual property and innovation management through positions at Nokia and SAP. As President of the International Institute for IP Management, he actively promotes the strategic development of intellectual property management on an international level. In addition, he has extensive teaching experience at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and the Centre for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI). His expertise focuses on software and AI patenting, combining technological expertise with strategic IP management and patent law.
Tanja Himstedt

Tanja Himstedt is responsible for Controlling, Project Management, and Teaching Coordination at the Chair of Entrepreneurship and Technology Management at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). She has been with the chair since 2012, overseeing project controlling, financial administration, and teaching coordination. Her responsibilities also include the operational management of the EXIST Potenziale program, focusing on finance, reporting, and the internationalization of entrepreneurship education.
