Prof. Dr.-Ing. Nikola Bursac

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Nikola Bursac is Director of the Institute for Smart Engineering and Machine Elements (ISEM) at Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) and a member of the German Association for Product Development (WiGeP). His work focuses on agile product development, model-based design, and system engineering for complex technical systems. Previously, he held leadership roles at TRUMPF, driving virtual product development, automation concepts, and agile transformation. He began his academic career at KIT, where he earned his PhD and worked on product generation engineering and collaborative system development with industry partners such as Porsche.
